About the Opportunity We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Fitter to join the Gregory Mine Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP) maintenance team. Duties will include but not be limited to the following: Maintaining CHPP equipment including online maintenance activities, during scheduled maintenance windows and first response for equipment breakdowns. Maintenance activities are carried out across the CHPP to ensure product is delivered to specification and production is optimised. Plant areas covered include the Top Floor, Bottom Floor, Control Room, Yard, and Train Load Out. Performing tasks include inspections, trouble-shooting of production issues, machinery operation as required and cleaning activities to maintain housekeeping standards. Identifying and rectifying hazards, damage and defects. Assisting the CHPP crew with other duties within the scope of training, skill and competence as required by the Supervisor. About you As a successful candidate, you will be a team player who prioritises safety always. While understanding your role and how you impact upon the achievement of team objectives, you will prioritise tasks and maintain compliance with site policies and procedures at all times. The successful candidates will display the following skills, experience, attributes and qualifications: Demonstrated experience in CHPP maintenance and/or operational activities. Australian recognised Mechanical trade qualification. RII Working at Heights and Confined Space competencies. High-Risk Work licences (eg. Elevated Work Platform or crane operation). Current Australian Drivers Licence. Demonstrated commitment to personal and team safety. Ability to work in a multi-skilled team environment.
