About the Role Hopetoun Early Years Centre in Flemington is seeking one full-time Diploma-trained Educators to join our growing team following a recent increase in enrolments. We’re looking for educators with a strong understanding and practical application of trauma-informed practices and a deep commitment to nurturing the development and wellbeing of all children, especially those impacted by trauma. Classification : Band 4 Hourly Rate : Starting at $38.73 12% superannuation (commensurate with experience) Location : Flemington, VIC Employment Type : Full-time, permanent About Hopetoun Early Years Centre We are a 78-place long day care centre with two co-located sessional kindergarten rooms. Your Key Responsibilities Plan and implement play-based, developmentally appropriate programs in line with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF). Provide high-quality documentation of children’s learning, development, interests, and abilities, setting individual and group learning goals. Demonstrate expert knowledge and application of trauma-informed practices in daily routines and interactions. Build warm, intentional, and respectful relationships with children as a core teaching strategy. Work collaboratively with a passionate and supportive team of educators. Ensure compliance with Child Safe Standards and contribute to a safe, inclusive environment for all children. About You You are an educator who is compassionate, experienced, and committed to continuous learning. You bring: A Diploma of Children's Services (or equivalent, recognised by the Department of Education and Training). 2–3 years' experience working in early childhood settings in a part time or fulltime role. Demonstrated understanding and experience implementing trauma-informed practices. Strong knowledge of the NQF, Child Safe Standards, and curriculum frameworks. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to take initiative, self-manage, and step into a leadership role when needed. A culturally responsive approach to working with children and families from diverse backgrounds. You must hold or be willing to obtain: Working with Children Check Level 2 First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma Management Certificates Why Join Us?
