Your role You'll be a part of our Competition, Consumer & Regulatory (CCR) team in Sydney or Melbourne and work with lawyers across all of our offices. At Allens, our structure means you'll get exposure to a number of different Partners within your practice group and a wide variety of work. Allens CCR team has acted in many of the major mergers, competition and consumer investigations, prosecutions, access disputes and proceedings in Australia. The group conducts litigation and represents clients before the ACCC, the Australian Competition Tribunal, the Australian Energy Regulator, the Federal Court and the High Court. As a Senior Associate in our CCR group you will offer our clients experience, expertise and advice in dealing with the full spectrum of competition and consumer law matters, including: Mergers and acquisitions. Joint ventures. Anti-competitive conduct allegations. ACCC investigations and immunity applications. Access undertakings and arrangements. ACCC enforcement action and third party litigation. Marketing and advertising reviews. Review of contractual terms. Compliance programs. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity. About you You will have: Demonstrated experience in competition law, ideally from a leading top tier, international, or national firm, or a competition agency. An ability to effectively manage larger matters and lead teams. A desire and ability to grow, both as a lawyer and leader. A willingness to build an understanding of clients and develop effective working relationships. An ability to establish a professional profile and internal networks.
