Aspirante is working with a local government organisation that is undertaking a major transformation project to centralise and harness operational data. We are seeking a Senior Data & Insights Engineer to join the ICT PMO and play a critical role in delivering advanced analytics, data integration, and insights that will shape operational decision-making across the business. What you’ll do: Lead and manage the organisations Enterprise Historian (Aveva OSISoft PI) . Integrate data from multiple operational systems to enable advanced insights. Develop dashboards, KPIs, and predictive analytics to support asset performance and operational decisions. Translate business priorities into analytics roadmaps and embed solutions into operational platforms. Ensure data governance, lifecycle management, and compliance with privacy/regulatory standards. Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Asset Management, and ICT to deliver data-driven outcomes. What we’re looking for: Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data/Analytics, or related discipline. Strong expertise with Aveva OSISoft PI Historian (super-user or admin level). Skilled in Python, SQL, R and frameworks such as TensorFlow, scikit-learn . Strong background in data engineering, statistical analysis, and quality assurance systems. Experience in asset-intensive industries (water, utilities, infrastructure, energy ideal). Demonstrated ability to work autonomously under pressure while delivering high-quality outcomes.
