About the Role Join Rio Tinto’s Iron Ore team as a Mining Systems Engineer, where you’ll play a key role in supporting and improving mining technology platforms across our Pilbara operations. This role acts as a critical interface between site-based teams, the Operations Centre, and external vendors, ensuring consistent delivery and performance of mining systems. Responsibilities Provide technical support for mining system applications including Dispatch, MineCare, Caterpillar Terrain, MineStar Command, Fleet and Health. Support in-pit WAN technologies including AVI, Cisco, and LTE UE devices. Execute IS&T strategies and provide guidance to Level 1 support teams. Identify and resolve system issues, offering targeted solutions and improvements. Manage SQL databases and contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing. Liaise with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless system performance. Maintain a strong customer focus and business context awareness. Contribute to business improvement initiatives and project delivery. About You Experience in in-pit mining operations and mining system applications (AHS, ADS, Asset Health, FMS, Machine Guidance). Strong understanding of network technologies, server and VM architecture. Proficiency in SQL database management. Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
