We are hiring for a Data Engineer. The Data & Analytics Data Engineer plays a critical role in enabling data-driven decision-making across the Blackmores Enterprise by designing and implementing scalable, reliable data pipelines and integrations. This role partners closely with business users to understand their data needs and use cases, ensuring that all relevant internal and external data sources are captured and transformed into actionable insights. This role reports to the Head of Group Data & Analytics and is expected to comply with our hybrid work environment of working at least 3 days a week in our NSW offices – either in Surry Hills or Warriewood and 2 days from home. Responsibilities include: Develop Data Pipelines: Design and implement robust data pipelines to collect, process, and store data efficiently from various sources. Data Management: Build and maintain data management systems, ensuring they meet business requirements and industry standards. Data Quality Assurance: Monitor and optimize data quality, reliability, and performance, troubleshooting any data-related issues that arise. Collaboration: Work closely with internal data clients and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide reliable data solutions. ETL Processes: Implement Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to ensure data is accessible and usable for analysis and reporting. Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of data products, processes, and workflows to facilitate knowledge sharing and compliance within our data governance tool. DevOps & CI/CD Experience: Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD), to support scalable and automated data engineering workflows. Ensure Data Compliance & Risk Management: Maintain adherence to all relevant regulations, internal policies, and contractual obligations related to data capture, storage, and usage. Identify, document, and monitor compliance risks and controls to mitigate potential failures. Promote a Culture of Compliance: Champion compliance awareness across the organization by embedding governance practices into data operations and external partnerships, ensuring ethical and responsible data management What we offer? Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus. Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Kafka, with hands-on experience in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS or Azure) and data tools such as Databricks, Snowflake, Coalesce, or DBT. Proven track record in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data platforms and pipelines in a fast-paced environment. Strong ability to analyze complex data sets, derive insights, and translate business needs into technical solutions. Experience with DevOps practices, including continuous integration and deployment, to support automated and reliable data workflows. Ability to mentor junior and non-technical stakeholders, promoting data literacy and a culture of curiosity and accessibility.
