Description The Role The Network Engineer role with a23 is a permanent full-time position in our growing company. The focus of the position will be to work with our Enterprise Networking Practice with a strong focus on customer service delivery. Role responsibilities Strong understanding in Network Engineering concepts and network protocols. Demonstrated ability to contribute to detailed network designs and diagrams. Strong technical experience across the following: Firewall (Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto) Switching (LAN, Campus, Data Centre) Wireless Networking (Cisco/Aruba) Network monitoring capabilities Exposure to cloud networking technologies (desirable) Technical experience across the following: BGP, OSPF, IPSEC, SD WAN and Data Centre cabling and associated infrastructure. Technical experience across the following: Routing, Switching, Wireless, SD-WAN, Load balancing, Cloud networking, DNS, DHCP, IP Address Management (DDI). Capability to take on and own BAU related incidents on behalf of customers and see them through to resolution. Contribute to technical designs, guides, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and documentation to meet a23 and customer requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand client requirements and provide high level support, including technical consultations, demonstrations, and assessments. Attend a23 vendor events and training. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in relevant areas and a23 technology partners products. Obtain and maintain certifications in vendor products and solutions applicable to one or multiple ICT domains related to Enterprise Networking. Skills And Experiences Skills, Experience and Qualifications Australian Government Security Clearance maintained at Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1). Diploma of Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Networking or a related discipline. Demonstrated expertise in network/systems engineering spanning 3-5 years. Experience with popular networking vendors (eg Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet, Dell, Juniper, Palo Alto). Experience working across multiple customers and environment simultaneously. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to handle complex BAU issues. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders. Commitment to maintain relevant professional certifications to enable the delivery of professional services offered by A23. a23 Policy Handbook and Mandatory Training On commencing with a23, all employees and subcontractors are provided with the a23 Policy Handbook and asked to acknowledge their understanding and commitment to adhering to its policies.
