ABOUT THE ROLE This is a rare opportunity to join a highly regarded banking & finance practice advising both borrowers and lenders on a broad mix of domestic and cross-border transactions. You will play a key role on complex corporate, property, project and acquisition financings as well as restructurings and equity raisings, with exposure to a range of market participants including private equity funds, non-bank lenders and major corporates. You will: Advise on corporate, property and construction financings, structured debt and acquisition finance Work across debt restructurings, recapitalisations, fund and JV-related matters Draft and negotiate loan agreements, securities, and other finance documents Engage directly with private financiers, property developers, fund managers, corporates and investors Advise in the context of both solvent and distressed transactions Collaborate closely with experts across tax, property, insolvency and construction law Contribute to team training, client updates and strategic development ABOUT YOU You will have: 2–4 years’ post-admission experience in banking & finance law within a commercial law firm A strong academic track record and sound legal judgement Proven ability to manage complex financing matters Commercial awareness and a strategic mindset Excellent drafting and negotiation skills A collaborative and proactive approach to working in a team environment Confidence in client-facing roles and relationship-building A desire to be challenged and make a meaningful contribution BENEFITS Fully subsidised corporate gym membership Career development through structured training and mentoring Regular staff social events and networking opportunities Employee discounts across legal, health and banking services Premium Sydney CBD office location with modern amenities
