As we grow our data and AI capabilities, we’re searching for a passionate and knowledgeable AI Governance Specialist to lead the way in building guardrails that ensure our AI systems are effective, compliant, and built for good. Reporting to the Senior Manager, AI, ML and Data Science, this role will: Develop and maintain AI governance frameworks, policies and technical guardrails to ensure ethical, transparent, and compliant AI usage. Guide ethical and compliant AI deployment through the creation and conduction of risk and impact assessments Collaborate with legal, compliance, security and technical teams to align AI systems with internal and external standards Lead the development of metrics, audit practices, documentation and review processes Stay ahead of AI regulation and ensure our systems align with evolving global standards like ISO 42001, GDPR and the EU AI Act Design and deliver AI governance education to support technical and non-technical teams Embed governance processes into the AI development lifecycle, from design to deployment This is your opportunity to shape how nib implements responsible AI at scale—balancing innovation, trust and performance. Let’s talk about you A degree in Computer Science, Data/AI Ethics, Engineering, or a related field Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies, with experience in governance or risk/compliance Familiarity with platforms like OpenAI, Databricks, AWS Sagemaker/Bedrock Practical knowledge of global AI regulatory frameworks and best practice (e.g. ISO, NIST, GDPR, AI Act) An ability to influence and communicate across diverse stakeholders, from engineers to executives Experience translating complex technical requirements into clear, actionable guidance You may also have experience with AI audits, working in regulated industries (e.g. healthcare or finance), or formal training in ethical AI or responsible tech.
