We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join Bowls Australia (BA) as the Events & Competition Administrator in a part time capacity (four days per week). BA’s events offer valuable opportunities for elite and recreational bowlers, and their clubs, to compete on a national stage, while also supporting and amplifying the four pillars of the BA strategy. The Events & Competition Administrator is primarily responsible for undertaking administrative tasks for the Events departments whilst coordinating the BPL Cup and delivering the National BPL Cup Finals. This position works closely with the Events & Competition Manager and the General Manager - Bowls Operations to develop, implement and deliver outstanding event experiences for customers which also fulfil the contractual needs or add value to BA Sponsors and Partners. Bowls Australia's head office is based in Melbourne but we are accepting applications from any location throughout Australia for this role. Key Areas of Responsibility Delivery of administration tasks for BA events. Coordination and delivery of the BPL Cup including National BPL Cup Finals. Support the delivery of the National Bowls Day and National Barefoot Bowls Championships. Knowledge, skills and behaviours required Broad experience in Events and Competition coordination. Sound knowledge of Bowls and related competitions and events preferred. Tertiary qualifications in Event Management, Marketing or Business advantageous. High-level communication skills – both verbal and written. Excellent time management skills, prioritising tasks to meet daily and weekly programmed activity targets or longer term organisational objectives. Ability to deal calmly and consistently with demanding responsibilities and conflicting priorities from a range of customers and staff utilising standard negotiation and conflict resolution techniques. Ability to work within a team to achieve organisational targets. Advanced relationship building skills. Ability to be self-directed and be able to work autonomously. Current drivers licence. Working With Children Check or similar certification.
