Based at Ringwood Your new role As a Team leader – Tenancy Support you will lead the staff working in the Tenancy Support programs to provide high quality services to consumers. The aim of these programs is to provide advocacy and support to renters with the aim of maintaining their tenancies and preventing homelessness. You will have a thorough understanding of the Residential Tenancies Act and will support staff to work effectively with people who have a range of complex needs and experience of past trauma. You will be involved in liaison and advocacy with Social Housing providers and a range of support services. You will be responsible for the delivery, monitoring and reporting of outcomes and works in close partnership with the Senior Manager to provide leadership, practice development and to build capability. Your skills and experience You will also have: Diploma of Community services or a recognised relevant equivalent qualification Current Drivers licence valid in Victoria Demonstrated leadership experience in the homelessness and tenancy sector Demonstrated ability as a team leader and ability to conduct staff supervision and appraisals Experience in working with people who have complex support needs and experience of trauma Demonstrated capacity to relate to clients and other stakeholders with dignity and respect Ability to think and act calmly and respond sensitively with distressed people View the position description here.
