The Recruitment and Selection (R&S) Priority Project is a strategic departmental initiative designed to modernise, streamline, and automate the end-to-end recruitment process. Its primary objectives are to reduce administrative burden, enhance the quality and speed of decision-making, and deliver a more consistent recruitment experience. This initiative directly supports broader red tape reduction and workforce strategy goals, with a clear outcome: to implement a scalable, minimum viable R&S process that is efficient, compliant, and supported by smart automation and workflow tools. As a Human Resources Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in shaping this modernised recruitment framework—translating stakeholder insights into practical system and process improvements, driving automation, and ensuring alignment with departmental objectives. Your key responsibilities include: Lead the design, documentation, and refinement of business requirements and workflows to support recruitment process improvements. Collaborate with employment delegates, panel chairs, HR staff, and business support teams to gather insights and translate them into actionable system and process enhancements. Identify opportunities for automation and workflow integration using platforms such as Springboard or PowerApps to streamline approvals, documentation, and candidate communications. Ensure all process improvements align with departmental goals, whole-of-government compliance standards, and broader workforce strategy initiatives. Desirable Requirements Candidates are strongly encouraged to detail how their skills and experience meet the following criteria in their application: Demonstrated experience in business analysis, ideally within HR and/or the public sector. Proven capability in designing HR processes, implementing automation, and working with HR technology platforms. Strong understanding of recruitment and selection practices, candidate experience, and compliance requirements. Prior experience working within government environments is highly valued.
