In this NEW role, you will be the support to the Corporate Finance function of the Australian group, including Group Reporting to the parent entity each month, preparation of annual financial statements and ad hoc accounting / project work. This is a business-critical role that maintains the integrity of the group’s financial results, in line with IFRS, at all levels of reporting. This role will also include exposure to senior management within Finance in Australia and at the parent entity abroad as well as working with our internal and external auditors. Your strategic deliverables will include: Provide insights to Shareholders, Executives and other stakeholders to enable better informed decision making. Ensure data is relevant, accurate, timely & presented to users in a way that enables common understanding of accounts. Continuous development of reporting platform and methods. Complete all external reporting requirements, including ABS, government reporting, group reporting. Custodian of the annual insurance renewal program for all insurance policies. Assist in managing the annual external auditors across the group and audit process including planning, accounts, audit, board papers and lodgment obligations. ABOUT YOU You will bring with you: A strong working knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS) and applicable rules and regulations. Experience in: Group reporting requirements. Consolidation process across Australian businesses and entities. Consolidation princesses and elimination, accounting for business acquisitions and related activities. Managing intercompany reporting and transactions. Being hands-on to deliver the Statutory accounts and all relevant controls and consolidation entries, including the relevant eliminations. An ability to manage external partners such as Auditors. Assist in budget and forecast process, focus on the consolidation and reporting. Compliance and lodgments in accounting, tax, regulator etc. Qualification required: 3-5 years similar role. CPA / CA qualified (or equivalent). Strong technical and professional knowledge.
