We are seeking applications for the position of Assistant Accountant in the Finance Department. The role is a permanent full-time position based in the Toowoomba Office. The key responsibilities of the role are: Providing financial information to allocated entities of Mort & Co Cash management and vendor payments Invoicing and purchase order activities Bank reconciliations Monthly general ledger reconciliations and journals Assisting with fixed asset management, including insurance, finance and asset registers Assisting with the preparation of BAS, payroll tax returns and income tax returns Assisting with other statutory reporting and auditor enquiries Assisting with enquiries from various departments ABOUT YOU To key requirements of the role are: Tertiary qualifications in Accounting / Finance or equivalent experience, together with an understanding of accounting standards and principles High level of attention to detail Intermediate level Excel skills Demonstrated organisation and time management skills Work well autonomously and in a team Collaborative communication skills.
