Our client, a nationwide respected engineering consultancy, are seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join their growing team in Brisbane. This is a hands-on role, with access to interesting projects, mentorship from senior professionals and the opportunity to build skills in design and field work. The successful candidate will be part of a national team, which includes two Principal Geotechnical Engineers, directors who are actively involved and a team of grads and undergrads ready to be supported. The work spans transport, slope stability, and civil infrastructure. Responsibilities include - Delivering geotechnical design and field investigations for infrastructure projects Preparing reports, drawings, specs, and design documentation Supporting site investigations and translating results into practical outcomes Collaborating with clients, senior engineers, and project teams Building your experience with mentoring from Principals and senior engineers Requirements Bachelor of Civil or Geotechnical Engineering 3–5 years’ experience in geotechnical engineering (ideally infrastructure-based) Some experience with design software (e.g. GINT, Slope/W, Plaxis, AutoCAD) Strong written and verbal communication skills A proactive approach to problem-solving and learning White Card and current Driver’s Licence CPD commitment and Engineers Australia membership (or working towards) Benefits Learn from and work directly with senior and principal engineers Get exposure to a broad range of projects and technical challenges, build a long term career Be supported to build your confidence, independence, and design skills Join a friendly, down-to-earth team that values collaboration and initiative Office-based in Brisbane CBD with easy access to public transport
