About the role The General Manager, First Nations is an SES Band 2 position, reporting to the Deputy CEO First Nations Group. This is a unique opportunity to lead transformative change and make a difference in the lives of First Nations peoples. As the General Manager, you will support the Deputy CEO First Nations to shape the future of the First Nations Group and ensure its strategies and programs drive real and lasting change. You will lead a team of Branch Managers, ensuring all programs and policies align with the vision and priorities of the First Nations Group and the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA). You will act as a trusted advisor to the Deputy CEO, providing high-level insights, managing complex challenges, and leading significant initiatives to achieve the group's objectives. They will bring lived or professional experience working with First Nations communities and will be skilled in facilitating culturally safe spaces. In addition to core expertise, the candidate will offer valuable sector knowledge across disability and the NDIS landscape, alongside a sophisticated understanding of First Nations-led evaluation, data sovereignty, and research methodologies.
