Description The Finance Manager will be responsible for the following, but not be limited to: Oversee daily accounting and finance operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. Prepare and analyse financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to support decision-making. Ensure compliance with tax laws and manage statutory reporting requirements. Implement and maintain effective internal controls and financial systems. Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management and stakeholders. Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and financial risk assessments. Lead and mentor a small team of finance professionals to achieve departmental goals. Collaborate with external auditors during audits and reviews. Profile A successful Finance Manager should have: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a professional accounting qualification (CA/CPA). Proven experience in financial management, preferably within the retail industry or an interest in the sector Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations. Experience in a similar role, managing a small finance function Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
