They currently have an exciting opportunity for a PostGres DBA with one of their clients based in Melbourne to support, manage and maintain database workloads. This role is open to candidates currently residing in Melbourne including those on working holiday visas and individuals without local experience. Applicants must either be based in Australia or have confirmed plans to relocate. Required Experience & Skills: Install, configure, and upgrade database management systems (DBMS). Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions. Ensure data integrity and security by establishing database access controls and backup protocols. Perform regular database maintenance tasks, including backups, indexing, and archiving. Develop and implement database recovery plans and disaster recovery strategies. Collaborate with development teams to design database schemas and optimize queries. Analyse and troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolutions.
