About the role You will be responsible for supporting Allied Health and Nursing/Midwifery students who are on placement with Majarlin and based in Kununurra. In doing so, they will engage in a wide variety of student support, facilities management, and general administrative duties. This role will also provide quality support to the Majarlin’s Program Manager (based in Sydney), Administration-Co-Ordinator (based in Broome) and Campus Services Team (based in Broome and Fremantle) to effectively manage the Kununurra operation for Majarlin as a Kimberley-wide Department. Key Responsibilities Majarlin Administration Support: General office duties such as maintaining office supplies, running errands, facilitating team meetings and planning events. Provide financial support to the Administration Coordinator by following existing finance and procurement policies to process payments, create purchase orders, and balance credit cards. Monitor expenditure against the budget and maintain an accurate database of payments. Work accurately with detailed information; including data entry, maintaining spreadsheets, managing correspondence, collating data for report and under direction prepare a range of written communication. Vehicle management including overseeing usage bookings, regular servicing and completing insurance claims. Campus Services Support: Work with the Campus Services team and Student Placement Coordinators to manage Kununurra accommodation bookings. Liaise with and schedule contractors such as cleaners, gardeners, and maintenance. Oversee the purchasing of essential accommodation supplies. Provide customer service to students and stakeholders, ensuring timely communication when responding to queries regarding placements. Ensure the dissemination of specific and accurate advice while maintaining confidentiality, integrity, and compliance. Majarlin Student Support: A ssist students upon arrival to Kununurra and guide them through check in and check out procedures including occasional airport transfers. Arrange travel for students attending outreach trips and visiting staff. Build effective relationships with students, staff, and placement facilities by providing professional service and resolution of issues regarding placements. Liaise with learning institutions in the development of partnerships for the placement of students including maintaining a database of placement sites/agencies and the student information database. Collate and analyse data relating to student results, evaluations of supervisor performance and feedback for reports. Contribute to the improvement of service delivery that will ensure a streamlined student placement process. In collaboration with the Cultural Security officer and Student Placement Coordinator, organise orientation sessions for students. Qualifications, skills & experience Completion of a degree without subsequent relevant work experience, or completion of an advanced diploma qualification and at least 1 years subsequent relevant work experience, or completion of a diploma qualification and at least 2 years subsequent relevant work experience, or completion of a Certificate IV and extensive relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. Experience in educational administration and/or student coordination or experience in similar environment (desirable). Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines using effective time management, and planning skills. Preparation of high-quality documentation, including accurate presentations, reports, and promotional materials. Excellent operational, organisational and administration skills including the ability to manage multiple competing priorities. Highly developed communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and engage with local contractors and external stakeholders. High level of competency across the Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly pick up new facilities management, finance, and general database systems.
