We're seeking a visionary General Manager – People Operations to drive excellence across the full employee lifecycle. From Reward and Payroll to HRIS, People Analytics, and Lifecycle Operations, this role is at the helm of operational transformation and strategic enablement. As a trusted advisor to executive leadership and the People & Remuneration Board Committee, you’ll turn business strategy into people impact—leveraging data, systems, and innovation to elevate performance and experience. What you’ll be doing day-to-day Reward Oversee the strategic design and evolution of remuneration frameworks, benefits, and recognition programs. Ensure alignment with market trends, internal equity, and business strategy. Guide annual remuneration reviews and incentive planning in partnership with the Reward Lead. Governance & Board Engagement Serve as a key liaison to the People & Remuneration Board Committee, preparing strategic papers, insights, and recommendations. Ensure governance, compliance, and risk management across all operational areas. Monitor legislative and regulatory changes, advising on implications and required actions. Maintain visibility across all operational streams, ensuring alignment, consistency, and quality. Act as an escalation point for complex or sensitive issues across Payroll, HRIS, Rewards, and Employee Lifecycle Operations. Champion continuous improvement and innovation in systems, processes, policies and service delivery, ensuring practices are contemporary, inclusive, and compliant. Drive the strategic roadmap for HRIS and digital enablement of People Operations. Ensure data integrity, system integration, and user experience across platforms. Lead the development of people reporting and analytics capabilities to support strategic decision-making. Strategic Leadership & Advisory Provide strategic direction and thought leadership across all People Operations domains. Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives and functional leads on operational matters, risks, and opportunities. Lead cross-functional initiatives that enhance employee experience, operational efficiency, and business impact. What you’ll bring to this role Qualifications & Experience Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline (postgraduate qualifications advantageous), with extensive senior HR operations leadership experience in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. Strategic & Functional Expertise Demonstrated capability in leading Total Rewards, Payroll, HRIS, People Analytics, and Employee Lifecycle functions, with advanced proficiency in HR systems, data analytics, and digital enablement. Executive & Board Engagement Experienced in advising executive leadership and engaging with Board Committees on governance, risk, and strategic people operations, with strong commercial acumen to align operational strategies to business outcomes. Leadership & Stakeholder Influence Skilled in leading and empowering functional managers through strategic guidance and coaching, with exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills across all levels of the organization. Governance, Communication & Change Delivery Deep expertise in employment legislation, compliance, and risk management, with a track record of delivering enterprise-wide initiatives and process transformations, supported by excellent communication skills and a resilient, inclusive leadership style.
