Are you passionate about web content management and have experience in using Drupal? Join our dynamic web team and play a crucial role in ensuring our information is easily available and accessible. You'll work closely with project teams on communication strategies, publication, and release arrangements for our reports. Plus, you'll help maintain and enhance our Commission's website. The key duties of the position include Maintain website policies, publishing procedures, and detailed instructional documentation. Prepare, update, publish, and maintain website content in line with Australian Government standards and practices (e.g. W3C Accessibility Guidelines, Writing for Web) using XHTML/CSS and other content editing tools like Acrobat and Photoshop. Work with team members to maintain and enhance consistent web writing style, design elements, accessibility techniques, governance frameworks, SEO, and usability. Consult with Commission staff regarding the production and release of publications and other website content, including public submissions. Support the development of new web page layouts, design, and functionality, incorporating feedback from Commission staff. Consult, educate, advise, and assist stakeholders with web-related and user interface inquiries. Advise on potential changes to website design, content management methods, and technologies. About you You're a web wizard with a knack for updating and maintaining web pages that meet user requirements and adhere to Australian Government standards and practices, along with: Demonstrated experience with Content Management Systems, particularly Drupal 9/10/11, and other web content editing tools like Acrobat Pro and Photoshop. Strong attention to detail ensures logical, accurate, and consistently presented outputs. Hold academic qualifications in a relevant discipline or have equivalent work experience in a similar role. Thrive both independently and as part of a team of web and non-web experts. Successful applicants may be appointed at either the APS Level 5 or 6 classification, depending on their skills, experience and qualifications. Immediate vacancy for a six-month non-ongoing contract.
