Casual Receptionist Position – Backpacker Hostel, Brisbane The Mahony Group is seeking casual receptionists for our vibrant backpacker hostel on Upper Roma Street, Brisbane. If you’re a dynamic, energetic individual with a knack for multitasking and a passion for customer service, we’d love to hear from you! Pay: 32.31 per hour penalty rates on weekends and public holidays. Shifts: 7.5 hours per shift. What We’re Looking For: - Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment. – A proactive, can-do attitude focused on keeping busy and improving processes. – Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanour. – A willingness to assist with various tasks, from guest services to general cleaning. – Someone who wants to learn, progress and grow their career in the hospitality industry. Speaking another language is favourable but not required. Responsibilities: - Checking guests in and out efficiently and professionally. – Providing exceptional customer service, including resolving complaints. – Managing bookings, taking payments, and updating reservations. – Responding to guest inquiries via email. – Keeping communal areas clean, including kitchen cleaning. – Undertaking general cleaning tasks during quieter periods.
