Liverpool Day Surgery, a reputable hospital and health care facility, is searching for a skilled Medical Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our patients, the Medical Receptionist's role is critical to our success. The ideal candidate must be a friendly and professional individual with exceptional organisational skills and a keen attention to detail. As a Medical Receptionist for Liverpool Day Surgery, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our patients receive accurate and timely care. The spread of hours is from 6am to 6pm Monday to Friday, therefore we are looking to employ someone who is flexible to fulfill this role as there may be an opportunity to share the spread of hours with another employee. Responsibilities Attend to patients in person or over the phone regarding appointments, enquiries, and general information Explain procedures, policies, and services offered by Liverpool Day Surgery to patients Collect patient information and update patient records accurately and in a timely manner Schedule appointments and maintain appointment records for patients and physicians Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and route calls to appropriate staff members Receive and sort mail, deliveries, and various correspondence Collaborate with other team members to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the facility Requirements Proven experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role Excellent knowledge of healthcare terminologies, procedures, and protocols Proficient in using various computer software and office equipment Prior experience with HCN Bluechip software is desirable Exceptional organisational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism at all times High school diploma or equivalent is required; certificate in healthcare administration or related field is a plus Benefits Free on-site parking Modern, comfortable and safe facility Full time position with no weekend or public holiday work, annual Christmas/New Year close down period 3 weeks.
