About the role We’re seeking a Senior Manager – Maintenance Performance to lead the delivery of preventative and corrective maintenance across our Queensland road and tunnel network, ensuring assets are safe, reliable, and performing at their best. As our Senior Manager – Maintenance Performance, you’ll play a key role in the future of our city-shaping assets—work that is meaningful, challenging, and exciting . Day-to-day, you will: Deliver the Annual Maintenance Plan across QLD through our core maintenance contractor , optimising budget while achieving safety, reliability, and durability outcomes. Ensure maintenance activities meet asset standards, contractual obligations, and compliance requirements. Oversee supplier performance, incident management, hazard reporting, and improvement initiatives. Build strong, collaborative relationships with Contracting Service organisations to optimise maintenance processes. Lead a culture of health, safety, and environment (HSE) excellence, ensuring policies and standards are embedded across all teams and contractors. Provide accurate maintenance performance reporting and ensure asset registers and condition data are current. Develop your team through coaching, clear priorities, and fostering an inclusive, diverse, and flexible work environment. This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including: Significant maintenance asset management experience in complex operational environments, ideally in infrastructure. Significant experience managing a contracted maintenance provider Strong compliance and risk management skills, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and control assurance . Proven people leadership experience and the ability to develop high-performing teams. Excellent stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams. A proactive, flexible nature and the resilience to adapt in a constantly changing work environment. Preferred: • Background in roads or tunnel infrastructure. • Strategic leadership experience with a proven track record in improvement initiatives. • Postgraduate qualifications in Management, Finance, or Risk Management.
