Our client is seeking interest from candidates to fill the position of Maintenance Admin Support Officer based in Cairns. This is a full-time, on-site administrative support role, Monday to Friday during business hours. As Maintenance Admin Support Officer, you will play a pivotal role in the smooth delivery of maintenance and repair administration. You will provide direct support to the Maintenance Manager, ensure all asset and facilities records are accurately maintained, and be a key point of contact for internal teams, contractors, and vendors. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, culturally diverse environment and contribute to a safe and sustainable workplace. Key responsibilities include: Administration support for maintenance and repair of assets, equipment, stores, and facilities. Coordinate maintenance notifications and update maintenance portal records. Liaise with internal clients, external contractors, and vendors for scheduling, site assessments, and compliance matters. Maintain registers for contractor licences, insurances, fire safety inspections, and assets. Assist with after-hours and weekend maintenance calls as required. Prepare purchase orders, obtain supplier quotations, and support procurement processes. Monitor and promote WH&S for employee and contractor safety. Support a cross-cultural, geographically dispersed team and foster positive working relationships. To be successful in this role, you will possess: Previous experience in administration (ideally in maintenance, facilities, or asset management). Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills; experience with procurement/maintenance software (e.g., Pronto) highly regarded. Excellent written and oral communication and outstanding customer service skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a team, as well as independently. Strong planning, prioritisation, and organisational abilities. High attention to detail and commitment to quality record-keeping. Occasional travel to remote communities may be required (via small aircrafts/commercial ferries). Current National Criminal History Check (within 3 months).
