This role interacts with the entire Investments Team, with respect to, transaction processing, reconciliations and accounting support. This role provides specific support to the Investment Operations, Tax and Front office teams. This role interacts heavily with the custodian, external auditors and collaborates with the broader Cbus organization. You will be handling the following aspects; Manage day to day Accounting, bookkeeping, and reporting activities along with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Maintenance of general ledger for Trust, Company and bank reconciliations. Be responsible for Financial reporting for Companies and Trusts including monthly management accounts and preparation of year-end Company & Trust financials plus assisting with year-end audit. To be successful you will need; Solid Australian accounting or audit experience, Experience with working at a Fund manager, a Superannuation Fund or within the financial services industry would be viewed favourably, Solid understanding of Accounting policies and principles in relation to investment markets and securities. This includes preparation of Financials, related reports, disclosures and undertaking analysis, Strong communication skills including being able to present views well in written and verbal form to a range of stakeholders, Self-starter that welcomes responsibility and ability to take ownership of the role in a professional manner. Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Business and/or Accounting disciplines in addition to your experience above highly regarded as is ACA/CPA.
