The Role We are looking for an HR Business Partner to join the People & Development (P&D) team in Clayton Utz's Brisbane office on a permanent full time basis. This is great opportunity for a HR Advisor or junior Business Partner to develop their career. Working with a dynamic and collaborative team, and reporting to the Brisbane P&D Manager, you will provide trusted advice to our partners, managers, and employees. As part of the broader P&D team, you will support in the delivery of people initiatives and operations across the employee life cycle, ensuring alignment with the firm's overarching people strategy. This is a fast-paced dynamic role where no two days are the same. You’ll enjoy a balanced mix of HR generalist responsibilities, working with a diverse range of client groups. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will: Provide advice on firm policies and employee relations matters. Undertake the cyclical activities such as promotions, annual performance and remuneration reviews, and talent identification for your client groups. Support recruitment and workforce planning to meet business needs. Collaborate with the Learning & Leadership team to identify individuals for the firm's excellence programs and other development opportunities. Champion culture and engagement initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive workplace. Coach and support Lawyers, and our Business Advisory teams to achieve their goals. Advocate for the firm's diversity and inclusion strategy, ensuring it is embedded in all aspects of the employee experience. Promote the firm's health and wellbeing programs, connecting individuals to support services as needed. Contribute to key projects and change management initiatives that align with the firm's strategic priorities. Skills & Experience To succeed in this role, you will bring: Previous experience in a professional services or corporate environment as an HR Advisor or junior Business Partner. Effective communication skills to work with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leaders. Demonstrated ability to be proactive and solutions oriented A commitment to balance business goals with compliance and operational success. Ability to prioritise client service by being responsive, with a strong sense of accountability for your remit A curiosity to learn our business and be commercially minded. The People & Development Team With a presence in each of our offices, the national P&D team is an integral part of our Business Advisory Services department.
