Executive Director Corporate Services – 8 month contract This is an exciting opportunity to provide strategic leadership and stability during a pivotal period for LGA. You will be responsible for financial management, oversight of programs and leading corporate strategies within LGA. We are seeking a strong, capable leader who can guide the organisation through this important phase, with the possibility of extension beyond the initial term. In this role you will: Lead strategic financial management across the LGA and its subsidiaries. Build and maintain strong relationships with the LGA Board of Directors, executives, management and external stakeholders. Manage the LGA’s Audit and Risk Committee and deliver the organisation’s risk management program. Support and oversee the delivery of key grant programs. Lead the web solutions team to ensure the effective delivery of information technology services. About you You will bring strong leadership to a diverse department, driving key organisational and strategic objectives. You will demonstrate expertise in finance and business processes, possess a solid understanding of grant funding and programs to support effective delivery and have experience leading corporate functions and governance. You will need: High-level knowledge and experience of accounting practices and standards. Demonstrated ability to develop, lead and inspire high performing teams. Detailed understanding and proven capability in project management. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to judge and prioritise work programs to meet organisational needs in a fast paced, dynamic environment. What we do We’re here to help local government build stronger communities.
