Looking for a experienced Network Engineer with 7 years of Local Australian Experience. Technical requirements : You will manage complex network projects and operational changes, contributing to the development of network technology solutions and providing third level support to resolve complex matters promptly. Contribute to network device lifecycle management by planning, decommission and replacement of obsolescent network equipment and services. Contribute to vulnerability management by upgrading network infrastructure to maintain network stability and cyber security. Collaborate closely with vendors, service providers, and internal technology teams to recommend and deliver seamless, high-performance network solutions. Work independently and as part of a team for project changes and incident resolution. Provide technical knowledge needed to ensure safe, effective, and efficient changes to the network infrastructure. Certifications / qualifications required: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent Minimum of 7 years of networking experience, with at least 5 years in a design, configure and implement role for Cisco enterprise LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN networks in a large enterprise IT environment. Solid networking background to provide design, implementation and troubleshooting of LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi and Firewall solutions in large enterprise networks. In-depth knowledge of WAN protocols and technologies, such as BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, MPLS, VPLS, VPNs, and QoS. Proficient with Palo Alto firewalls, plus a detailed understanding of TCP/IP, NAT, route maps/ACLs, routing policies. Advanced knowledge of Cisco wireless networking (Cisco WLC/APs) and F5 application load balancers. Experience with network monitoring tools, Cisco Catalyst Centre, Solarwinds. Ability to use diagnostic tools such as Wireshark, packet analyser. Able to multitask in a dynamic global team-based environment demonstrating strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities and the highest degree of professionalism. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, consulting and influencing skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships. Highly motivated and ability to work independently. Ability to multitask and work autonomously on multiple projects. Experience in Mining, Manufacturing or Heavy industries is highly desirable. Current Western Australia Driver license. Hours of work: Mon-Fri, 8AM to 4.30PM AWST The role supports a 24x7 business that will require occasional after-hours support to execute network infrastructure changes and assistance for critical incident resolution. Work Location Convex Engineering Services’ office and clients office locations. The candidate will very occasionally need to travel to locations (within 1-2 hrs) south of Perth based on current project initiatives or critical incident support.
