About the Role This is a pivotal finance position supporting end-to-end financial operations within a fast-moving, global business. The Finance Manager (2IC) will take ownership of day-to-day accounting functions, financial compliance, and multi-region tax reporting. You’ll work closely with senior leadership to ensure accurate and timely reporting, while contributing to broader operational decision-making. The role is suited to someone who is big4 trained, comfortable in a hands-on environment, who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-focused setting and is willing to step up into a CFO role in the next 12-24 months' time. Finance Manager – $120k–$150k Super Location : Sydney – Hybrid (4 days in-office, 1 day WFH) Working Hours : Full-time with flexible availability across time zones due to international operation. Interview Process : One round face-to-face with the CFO, Key Responsibilities Manage daily bookkeeping activities using Xero and Shopify integrations Process payroll and superannuation obligations on a weekly basis Oversee daily bank rec, accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accurate reconciliations Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and cashflow reports Perform month-end tasks including accrual, reversal, manual journal posting, fixed asset register, amortisation, depreciation, and MTM, QTQ variance analysis. Ensure compliance with tax regulations across Australia, the US, Europe, and Asia Support internal and external audits, and coordinate statutory reporting requirements Liaise with external advisors on cross-border tax matters Monitor and report on international sales channels, FX exposure, and payment flows Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Implement and enhance internal controls, systems, and reporting efficiencies Reporting directly to the CFO, you will prepare and present regular management and financial briefings to the senior leadership team. About You CA or CPA qualified, with experience in Big 4 tax.
