Up $550 p/day super 3 month contract: ASAP start – 31 October 2025 Sydney CBD – Hybrid (3 days in office / 2 days WFH) Dynamic government department within Tourism, Hospitality and Sport are seeking aa pro-active Events & Marketing Coordinator to join their collaborative team. Seeking a hands-on, proactive Events & Marketing Coordinator to support the delivery of a global technology, innovation, music and screen festival. This is a fast-paced, practical role focused on end-to-end event marketing and coordination, ideal for someone with strong project management skills and experience delivering events in a government or public-facing environment. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and support the NSW House program of panels and networking events across the three-day activation Liaise with internal stakeholders, including government agencies and steering committees Ensure all speaker briefings, event details, and panel descriptions are accurate and aligned Work with the internal events team on activations and logistics Be onsite during the event (14–16 October) to support live delivery Manage event communications and assist in driving attendance Collaborate with design and media teams to ensure correct use of branding and logos Write and review basic copy/content for promotional and event collateral Support approval processes, stakeholder updates, and campaign tracking Use CRM tools to manage event communications and contact lists Key Requirements Demonstrated experience in event / project coordination or trade/event marketing / trade marketing roles Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple stakeholders Experience in government, tourism or hospitality environments highly regarded Comfortable working with external design / media agencies Familiarity with tools such as Swift Digital, Humanitix, Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Copywriting and content creation experience desirable Comfortable working flexible hours, especially during event delivery Ideal Candidate A hands-on "doer" who thrives in fast-paced environments Collaborative and able to work with cross-functional and cross-government teams Comfortable coordinating multiple moving parts and engaging with diverse stakeholders Team & Culture You’ll work within a tight-knit events team of 4, as part of a broader 20-person Brand & Marketing team Collaborative, high-energy environment with a strong culture of creativity, inclusivity, and delivery Work closely with internal events, digital, media and government engagement team Benefits: Work with a passionate team in a fast‑paced, high‑profile public sector.
