Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain retail pricing models and tools for electricity and gas markets. Analyse market trends, competitor behaviour, and wholesale cost movements to inform pricing decisions. Perform scenario modelling to assess the impact of regulatory changes, demand shifts, and cost variations. Provide recommendations on retail pricing strategies that optimise margin while maintaining market competitiveness. Support product development teams with cost-to-serve, tariff structure, and customer impact analyses. Produce clear, actionable reports and presentations for senior leadership. Ensure pricing methodologies comply with regulatory requirements in each jurisdiction. Collaborate with marketing, sales, and operations teams to support pricing-related initiatives. Monitor portfolio performance and recommend pricing adjustments as necessary. Contribute to the enhancement of pricing tools, processes, and governance frameworks. Candidate Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related discipline. Minimum 5 years’ experience in energy retail pricing, commercial analytics, or a similar role within a regulated utility. Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel and data modelling tools. Experience working with large datasets and statistical analysis software (e.g., SQL, Python, R) desirable. In-depth understanding of the Australian National Electricity Market (NEM) and retail energy pricing structures. Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights. Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Commercial acumen and a strategic mindset, with a focus on value optimisation.
