Copenhagen Infrastructure Service Company (CISC) – a company working exclusively for the global fund management company Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), is currently looking for a Development Manager to join the team in Melbourne, Australia The role As a Development Manager you will be closely involved in the development CIP’s renewable energy projects in Australia such as onshore wind, battery or solar. You will form part of the collaborative project teams and will be responsible for managing key project development workstreams, such as community engagements, grid connection, permitting, layout, procurement, land etc. to ensure the renewable energy projects can reach Final Investment Decision. You will manage both complex commercial and technical aspect of the projects. Responsibilities will further consist of : · Project management of key development workstreams · Analysing grid connection, permitting, and environmental constraints to optimize project development strategies. · Develop and implement stakeholder engagement strategy. Ensure communication and engagement of stakeholders to ensure local project support enabling a smooth development process · Coordinate with shareholder regulatory affairs and align communication and engagement · Overseeing the preparation of project proposals, covering technical, financial, and environmental aspects. · Working with third party developers and third party companies to progress projects · Secure all project permits & consents landowner enable project progress according to schedule · Interface with engineering team to align permitting envelope · Working closely with engineering, finance, legal, and procurement teams to reach essential project milestones. · Developing and managing project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability. · Lead negotiations for land lease agreements, contractor engagements, and procurement contracts. · Support the preparation of financial models and investment cases to secure funding and approvals. · Ensure transparent communication to senior CIP stakeholders on the project development Main stakeholders Internal Stakeholders External Stakeholders You We are looking for a person with a relevant degree in Engineering, Economics, Environmental Science, Business or similar fields with 7 years of experience within development of renewable energy projects. We look for the following in a candidate: Structured approach with focus on detail. Experienced analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to navigate across technical, commercial and financial disciplines Proficient communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English and ability to turn complex issues into simple and understandable solutions Ability to effectively execute processes proactively and professionally managing multiple on-going tasks and prioritize effectively Solid understanding of renewable energy projects Experience with managing complex stakeholder environments and interacting/communicating with senior management Motivated individual who takes ownership, leads processes forward while navigating in a fast-paced environment The process Please apply online as soon as possible as applications will be processed on an ongoing basis.
