Driving People Success Across NSW — Join Our HR Team on the Move We are seeking a skilled and proactive HR Generalist to join our team and support our people operations. Reporting directly to the People and Culture Manager, this role involves traveling to all 12 of our depots across NSW to effectively manage workload and provide on-site support. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 5 years of experience, preferably within the transport industry, and possess strong expertise in employee relations, industrial relations, and union negotiations. Your role will be essential in maintaining positive workplace relationships and ensuring compliance with Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBAs). ABOUT THE ROLE Location: Bankstown, NSW Key Responsibilities: Manage employee relations and industrial relations matters, including handling grievances, disputes, and disciplinary actions in a timely and compliant manner. Collaborate with unions and assist in negotiating and implementing Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBAs). Provide advice and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation. Support recruitment, onboarding, and training initiatives to attract and retain talent. Maintain accurate HR records and manage HR systems for reporting and compliance. Assist in performance management processes and employee engagement activities. Contribute to continuous improvement of HR practices aligned with business goals. What We’re Looking For: Diploma or equivalent qualification in Human Resources or related field. 2 to 5 years of proven HR Generalist experience, preferably in the transport or logistics industry. Strong knowledge of employee relations and industrial relations frameworks. Experience working with Unions and participating in EBA negotiations. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism. Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally in a blue-collar environment Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation Professional and empathetic approach to staff interactions Own transport is a must.
