The Role: Erskine Park (Sydney) is one of our busiest depots across our Lindsay Transport network. Right now, we have a rare opening for a new 2IC Depot Manager. This opportunity will see you play a key role in supporting the Depot Manager to oversee site operations and lead a team of 3 direct reports and approximately 300 depot staff. This is a full-time position, with flexibility to work weekends as required. Your leadership responsibilities will include but not limited to: Safe Always - lead by example in a safe working environment and ensure safe practices are following by employees, customer, and visitors. Professionally lead complex environments including local fleets (road and rail), cross dock warehouses - multiple commodity and temperature zones and collaborating with the broader team to maximise linehaul capacity. Provide strong leadership to a diverse team of employees, managing performance, objective setting, and profit & loss management. Develop and maintain good working relationships with new and existing customers, ensuring to communicate effectively and deliver on commitments. Responsible for the safe and cost-effective management of all operational and administrative activity, budgeted labour, and site maintenance requirements. About You: To succeed in this role, we anticipate you will be able to demonstrate: Senior leadership experience (minimum 5 years) with diverse teams, ideally in the same or similar industry. Previous experience setting a safe working environment where safety is promoted and prioritised. Exceptional customer service & people skills, developing excellent working relationships with current and potential customers. Previous experience managing organisational finances, implementing cost effective options and business reporting. Process driven with high level reasoning, problem solving and planning skills.
