Head of Cloud / Hybrid working $200k-$220k base super bonus benefits Transform and evolve a 20 member Cloud Platform Team (AWS / GCP) Intrinzic have partnered with a rapidly scaling, enterprise-level organisation on a newly created opportunity for a Head of Cloud to lead and evolve their cloud function. This is a key strategic leadership role, responsible for shaping and executing a modern, hybrid cloud strategy that supports the business’s fast-paced transformation and customer-centric goals. The Opportunity As Head of Cloud, you’ll own the cloud platform strategy and lead a team of 20 engineers – empowering developer teams with scalable, secure and reliable cloud capabilities. You’ll work closely with other senior leaders, architects, and product stakeholders to ensure the cloud platform meets business needs in a cost-effective and secure manner. This is an ideal role for someone with strong people leadership, a servant-leadership mindset, and a solid technical foundation across cloud and platform engineering in complex enterprise environments. Key Responsibilities Lead and grow a high-performing cloud team, fostering a culture of learning, ownership, and technical excellence Design and evolve the enterprise hybrid cloud platform strategy, with a focus on scalability, usability, and compliance Partner with developers and key stakeholders to ensure the platform supports delivery teams effectively Champion cloud governance, security, and best practices aligned with regulatory and organisational standards Support large-scale change and transformation initiatives Drive continuous improvement in platform operations, developer experience, and team capabilities What We’re Looking For 7 years’ proven leadership experience managing large technical teams in cloud/platform engineering Deep understanding of cloud strategy and operations across multi/hybrid environments (AWS/GCP) Comfortable being both technically credible and strategically focused Exceptional communication and stakeholder management across technology and business functions A collaborative, pragmatic leader who puts team enablement and outcomes first Experience with large enterprise environments (insurance/financial services experience is a plus) Transformation experience is highly regarded but not essential This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the direction of a critical function in a major enterprise, with a strong appetite for cloud maturity and platform excellence.
