Freightways Information Services Australia (FIS AU) provides effective, agile and innovative IT services for multiple field-leading business units within Freightways Australia, including Allied Express, The Information Management Group and Shred-X/Med-X. This IT Support Engineer (ITSE) role joins a strong team of Infrastructure engineers, ensuring Freightways Australia business units are provided with efficient, timely customer and system support via multiple channels and platforms, in a modern, ITIL-driven environment, while assisting with cybersecurity initiatives and project work. Candidates will possess expertise across common enterprise platforms including Okta, Microsoft 365, Intune, ADCS & NPS, PacketFence, PaperCut, PRTG & SolarWinds and operating systems such as Windows, MacOS, Linux. This role is based at Allied Express in Bankstown and is primarily an on-premises position. Your Key Responsibilities Include: • Primary contributor to development, deployment and security of the Corporate Systems environment at Allied Express, including endpoints, Wi-Fi, print, video conferencing, CCTV. • Planning, installing, testing and maintaining operating systems, application software and management tools, ensuring operational processes are reliable, repeatable, and efficient • Applying effective and methodical troubleshooting ability to solve IT issues and ensuring appropriate record-keeping and communication. • Ensuring stability and efficiency of platforms and infrastructure utilising proactive logging and monitoring tools. • Providing periodic after hours, on-call and escalation support of applicable Freightways AU 24x7 infrastructure, including system outages and incident response. • Working in a Kanban/Scrum team environment, actively participating in team planning sessions, standups and ensuring visibility of work in progress. About you: • 3-5 years’ experience maintaining production IT environments across all elements of enterprise infrastructure including hardware, storage, network, virtualisation, security, OS, and applications management. • Strong knowledge of RMM platforms, VMware virtualization and FortiNet network technologies. • Excellent communication skills with a customer focused approach to IT support. • Experience working in ITSM platforms such as Jira, ManageEngine. • Experience with incident troubleshooting and escalation. • Cybersecurity and project management experience is highly regarded. Requirements of the role: • Hands on knowledge of the following technologies • Configuring and supporting Windows 10/11, MacOS and Office 365 environments. • SCCM/other RMM software packaging and software deployments. • Teams Room VC functionality and associated hardware platforms. • FortiNet and Cisco network devices and platforms. • Group policy customisation and creation. • PowerShell Scripting. • Technical knowledge across a range of IT Infrastructure best practices. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Proactively learns and trains others in support functions and new technologies. • Ability to demonstrate troubleshooting skills. • High attention to detail whilst working on a wide range of support activities.
