About the Role BDO Western Sydney office, the newly established office aiming to extend BDO’ s premier advisory and compliance services in the Western Sydney market, invites aspiring accounting professionals to be part of our dynamic and innovative team. We are geared towards addressing the diverse needs of local and international businesses in Australia's third-largest economy . Position Overview: The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in providing high-end bespoke accounting services to our clients. This role involves direct liaison with clients, collaborative strategy development , and working with team members and partners across all our services areas . Key Responsibilities: Offer accounting and advisory services to a diverse clientele covering local and international clients . Prepare financial statements (general purpose financial statements and management style financial reports) , tax returns, monthly management reports, and other regulatory returns such as payroll tax and workers compensation renewals . Maintain and cultivate strong client relationships through direct liaison both virtually and in person . Lead client engagements and be the first point of contact for clients. Mentoring and training junior staff. Develop and implement client strategies in collaboration with team members and partners. Drive exceptional client service in all that we do. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting . 3 - 5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a business services team within a chartered accounting environment. Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero and MS Office Suite, with an emphasis on strong Excel knowledge . Well-developed understanding of accounting principles and tax laws. Superior problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills .
