Jade Setter, our Executive Assistant to the General Manager, is on the hunt for a superstar to assist with supporting our General Manager's growing workload! Essentially, we’re offering a great opportunity for someone to assist Jade with the administrative and customer service functions. Your key responsibilities will include providing high level executive support needed by the General Manager such as diary management, staying on top of emails, referral of enquiries to the relevant team member and follow-up to ensure prompt completion, coordination of responses to Councillors and Executive Team enquiries, preparation and review of correspondence and help with whatever Jade needs really! This position is being offered initially as a 12 month fixed term secondment. The role is a permanent one within Council’s structure however, being a new position, we want to use the first 12 months to assess the responsibilities and work on understanding the needs of the team. What we’re looking for in you: Relevant qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in an administrative support position Experience in providing support and assistance to senior level staff including the provision of confidential administrative support at all times High level written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and sensitively at all levels, both internally and externally. Position information: This is a 12 month fixed term, full-time secondment, working a 70 hour fortnight, with access to Council's 9 day fortnight Accrued Day Off (ADO) arrangement. This role will be located across both Council's Merrylands and Auburn offices, and may be required to work across any of Council’s work locations. Due to the nature of this position, you will not be able to work form home but you will receive five (5) additional Flexibility Days instead! Salary information: The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award.
