You’ll be out on Country helping fix burst water mains, unblock sewers, and make sure water and wastewater systems are flowing strong and steady. You’ll be part of a tight-knit crew that starts each day with a yarn and a plan, before heading out across Greater Sydney. You’ll use your hands, tools, and technology to solve real-world problems that keep homes, businesses, and communities safe. This role is more than a job—it’s about making a meaningful impact every day. You’ll help safeguard the lifeblood of Country: water. What You’ll Do Start the day with a crew meeting and safety check-in Repair water mains, unblock drains, and operate wastewater systems Communicate with the local community and explain works being done Use technology to monitor, diagnose and report Look after your mates and always put safety first Help build cleaner, smarter, stronger systems for future generations Requirements You don’t need to have done this exact job before—mob from all sorts of backgrounds are encouraged to apply: You may come from: Plumbing, gas, electrical or drainage industries Landscaping or grounds care Civil construction, concreting, excavation Mechanics or plant operation General labouring or response crews You’ll need: A current NSW Driver’s Licence (Medium Rigid minimum – or be willing to upgrade) A SafeWork NSW Construction Induction (White Card) To be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident Physical ability to carry out manual work safely and effectively Willingness to work afternoon/night shifts and be on call for emergencies It’s a bonus if you have: A trade certificate in plumbing, water ops, or civil construction.
