Senior Reliability Engineer Job no: 50009756 Work type: Full Time Location: Melbourne - North Shape the future of manufacturing reliability at Visy’s Pulp and Paper Melbourne site Work with high-speed machinery and rotating equipment Be part of a high-performance team driving true change The Opportunity As the Senior Reliability Engineer at our Campbellfield paper mill , you’ll take ownership of machinery uptime and performance across a 24/7 manufacturing operation. You'll drive preventative strategies, analyse asset performance, and deliver reliability improvements for our high-speed lines and rotating equipment. This is a hands-on, shopfloor-facing role with real influence. You’ll work closely with maintenance, production and CI teams to reduce failures, increase uptime, and support safe, sustainable performance across site. What you’ll do: Lead root cause analysis, asset reviews and reliability investigations Develop, implement and improve preventative maintenance strategies Monitor asset performance and drive reliability improvement projects Optimise spare parts and maintenance planning using CMMS (MEX/SAP) Support and mentor maintenance teams in best-practice reliability Work across production and engineering to improve plant efficiency Drive safety-first maintenance practices and continuous improvement What you’ll bring: Mechanical or engineering background, ideally in pulp, paper or manufacturing Strong experience with rotating equipment and high-speed machinery A minimum of 10 years hands-on reliability engineering experience Previous exposure to 24/7 manufacturing environments Ability to analyse failure trends and implement practical solutions Hands-on mindset and ability to influence on-the-floor teams Solid knowledge of safety practices and plant operations CMMS experience (e.g. MEX, SAP, or similar) Why work at Visy?
