Control Systems Service Technician Sydney based position Global company who look after their employees and provide training Contract Position – Initial 12 months with possibility to extend or go permanent The Company Paragon Talent has been engaged to assist a global leader in the electrical and automation sector and they now have a great opportunity available for a Control Systems Service Technician to be based out of Sydney. This is a long-term contract position with an initial 12 months on offer, and it could possibly extend or go permanent. The Position As a Control Systems Service Technician, you will be responsible for: Maintaining and troubleshooting control systems (SCADA and PLC technologies) along with VSD’s, soft starters etc across the Sydney metropolitan area Ensure that real-time data is available and that control mechanisms are operating effectively and efficiently for use by system operations and network development Responsible for configuration, acceptance testing, commissioning etc in the field Participate in minor project works including design and programming Work closely with the project engineering team Engage with clients at a wide range of levels Being part of an on-call roster (approximately 2 weeks every quarter) This is an exciting opportunity to join a global organisation who have some brilliant products and pride themselves on developing their personnel. This position would suit an Electrical or Control Systems Technician who is happy to spend some time on customers sites as well as work locally in the Sydney office. The Technician will be competent with SCADA and/or PLC technologies and will have previously worked on drives, soft starters etc. An initial 12-month contract is on offer to the successful candidate with an hourly rate of $50 - $65 per hour plus superannuation.
