Industry: Renewable Energy Location: Sydney Salary: $150,000 – $180,000 Super Department: Asset and Operations Reports To: Head of Assets and Operations Position Overview The Asset Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of renewable energy sites. This includes leading communication between site and office teams, managing budgets, analyzing SCADA data, optimizing maintenance plans, and ensuring contract compliance. The role plays a critical part in maximizing asset performance, minimizing risk, and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships to support broader company objectives. Key Responsibilities Manage the asset performance of a portfolio of renewable energy sites. Facilitate clear and timely communication between on-site staff and the office team. Maximize output and minimize operational risks across renewable energy projects. Conduct high-level analysis of SCADA system data. Prepare, manage, and adhere to operational budgets. Review and improve maintenance plans in collaboration with service providers. Track and resolve operational issues as reported by on-site staff or identified independently. Interpret and enforce terms of contracts with operations and maintenance providers. Oversee and manage reporting obligations to authorities. Engage and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and external consultants. Perform other ad hoc duties as required. Key Measurables Workplace Health, Safety & Environment (WHS&E): Zero lost-time incidents; full compliance with safety, environmental, and biodiversity management requirements. Stakeholder and Contractual Performance: Accurate, timely reporting and full adherence to service contracts and regulatory obligations. Financial Management: Meeting OPEX budgets and achieving value through market competition and innovation. Energy and Operational Performance: Meeting or exceeding asset availability targets; minimizing unplanned downtime. Maintenance & Performance Improvements: Timely and effective execution of scheduled maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and performance improvements. Key Requirements Minimum 3–5 years of relevant work experience. Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (preferred). Experience in construction, engineering, or renewable energy sectors (highly regarded). Demonstrated capability in supervising and coordinating O&M activities in renewable energy or similar industries. Strong contract management experience. Current driver’s license. Valid White Card. Excellent interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Willingness to travel to site as needed.
