As a Senior Portfolio Manager – Planning, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering and executing medium to long term strategic business planning activities across the Investment team, ensuring alignment with the enterprise long-term strategy. This senior role sits within Investments - Sustainable Investment and Planning team. This role is responsible for shaping and executing the Investment strategic plans in collaboration with key leadership and internal stakeholders. You'll oversee the implementation of strategic initiatives and establish success measures to track progress and effectiveness. You will prepare high-quality reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and leadership on the multi-year business planning strategic initiatives and progress. Your knowledge of investment industry trends and regulatory developments will help to inform the strategic planning cycle and areas of ongoing focus. Day to day, you'll: Lead multi-year strategic planning for the Investment team. Align strategic investment plans with broader enterprise strategy through collaboration. Drive execution and reporting of strategic initiatives. Embed industry insights into planning cycles. This role is a permanent opportunity. Location: Sydney or Brisbane. About you You're a strategic thinker and a natural collaborator with a passion for investments and planning. You’ll likely tick some of these boxes: You hold relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, investments, commerce, engineering, science, or economics. You bring deep experience in the Investments industry, with strong knowledge of legislation, market trends, and risk-reward optimisation. You’ve worked across international investment markets and have commercial experience reviewing legal documents. You demonstrate exceptional research and analytical skills, using data to drive strategic thinking. You’ve successfully led and executed multi-year business planning processes, ideally within investment or financial services. You know how to interpret industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging risks, and translate them into actionable strategic insights. You leverage data to inform planning, performance measurement, and continuous improvement strategies. You’ve worked effectively with diverse internal stakeholders, investment teams, risk, finance, legal, operations to align business planning with enterprise objectives. You’re highly skilled in managing relationships and negotiating with both internal and external partners. Your communication skills are top notch, and you’re confident presenting to senior and executive audiences. You have a proven track record in investment management and a thorough understanding of valuation principles.
