Project Communications Specialist Are you an experienced communications professional ready to support a high-profile digital transformation project within the Australian Public Service? We are seeking a Project Communications Specialist to join a dedicated taskforce delivering the next phase of a major modernisation initiative. This project is replacing outdated systems with a streamlined digital portal to improve how projects are proposed, tracked and reported across all levels of government. The next phase focuses on expanding access and functionality to support national funding programs. Sitting within the Organisational Change Management (OCM) stream, this role will play a key part in developing and delivering clear, engaging and informative communications products to support both internal and external stakeholders. Key responsibilities: Draft and deliver talking points and briefing materials for internal and external forums for the OCM Lead and Assistant Secretary Support the coordination and delivery of internal and external forums, including developing agendas, slide decks and minute-taking at change management forums Create compelling content across multiple channels, including intranet articles, website copy, and project summaries Contribute to strategic communications planning for the upcoming phase of the project launch About you: Demonstrated experience in strategic or project communications, ideally within government or large, complex programs Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences Proven experience supporting leadership engagement and managing communications for change initiatives Must be an Australian citizen with a current Baseline security clearance Available to work full time (37.5 hours/week) until the end of December 2025 Don’t miss this opportunity to contribute to one of the most significant transformation programs in government!
