Overview of the role The Social Executive role is ideal for a rising social talent with a strong foundation in content creation and channel management, who is now ready to step up into a more strategic, client-facing role. You’ll be well versed in producing and editing video (Reels and TikTok ’ s created in-platform ) and photo content (design ed using Canva and/or original content shot on phone) for social platforms . This will be an opportunity to apply your creative thinking to world - leading brands , while learning the ro pes within one of Australia’s leading agencies. Crucially, you'll be just as comfortable crafting social copy and understand the power of simple captions , whether writing from scratch or using AI tools to your advantage. Sitting between the Social Coordinator and Social Manager, you'll support and lead aspects of organic social media delivery across content, community, reporting, and insights, while beginning to take ownership of campaign delivery and selected client communication. You'll work across a dynamic portfolio including retail, entertainment, and automotive brands, as part of an agile, award-winning social and influencer team. You’ll collaborate closely with Managers and Directors to bring content calendars to life, lead community engagement, contribute to creative ideation, assist in reporting and support influencer partnerships — while gradually developing strategic thinking and platform expertise . Support Social Coordinators and work with Managers to guide content planning and creation. Contribute to training and knowledge-sharing within the team. Communicate clearly with all stakeholders, including your direct team and wider business . Contribute to ideation and planning sessions across the business . When thinking about Clients this role is responsible for : Consider our clients’ tone of voice and brand guidelines when planning and creating content . Support the social team in educating our clients on platform best-practice . Advocate for our clients’ businesses and drive proactive opportunities within social . When thinking about Commercials this role is responsible for : Work with our Social Lead and/or Director to develop your commercial understanding and how social content plays a role in the wider media landscape . Develop your understanding of over-arching business goals and your role in contributing towards them . When thinking about Product this role is responsible for : Champion and deliver gold-standard social content on behalf of our clients . Work with our Social Lead and/or Director to utilise relevant tools as part of your day-to-day workflow . Advocate for the latest social trends and tools to improve our work . Take ownership of community management and timely brand interactions. Use insights and platform data to make content recommendations. Conduct social listening checks for clients to build culturally relevant content and insight-based recommendations . When thinking about Process this role is responsible for : Support the wider team to optimis e our social planning and production processes to improve efficiencies . Ideal Candidate Experience: The ideal Social Media Executive is creative, collaborative and organised — with hands-on content skills and an eye for what works on social. You're ready to contribute more strategically, grow client-facing confidence, and build experience managing multiple social projects. Required: 1–2 years’ experience in a social media role (agency or brand-side) Strong experience creating social content: copywriting, video editing, Canva/Adobe etc. Comfortable with platform-native tools (Instagram/TikTok editing, Meta Business Suite) Familiar with scheduling tools (Later, Sprout, Hootsuite, Meltwater, etc.) Familiar with social listening tools such as Brandwatch , Sprout, Meltwater and Brand24 Confident writing for different tones of voice and audiences Experience in community management across TikTok and Meta Good working knowledge of reporting and data interpretation Passion for social media trends, creators and storytelling Desirable: Some experience in client communication or content approvals Exposure to influencer marketing campaigns or talent outreach Understanding of how paid and organic social work together Knowledge of industries like retail, entertainment or automotive Experience using AI tools to enhance workflows Familiarity with platform insights tools or social listening dashboards
