About the office/school People and Culture is a team of strategic HR professionals providing client focused, proactive and effective solutions and services for all UNDA employees. About the role We are seeking a proactive individual to join our team and be responsible for providing professional, timely and accurate administrative and operational support services. Working closely with other roles in P&C, the role’s primary focus is to support general P&C processes along with providing administration and quality P&C service to employees and other stakeholders. This position works in the People Services Team and reports to the Team Leader, People Services. Key Responsibilities Provide advice and information consistent with the University’s requirements, Enterprise Agreement and relevant policies on matters relating to the employee life cycle including contract creation and variations, employee movements, leave, hours and related employment conditions. Liaise with various stakeholders, that includes staff in the University and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues to ensure successful outcomes and solutions as presented, as well as an integration of P&C processes. Maintain high quality and compliance standards by ensuring data integrity of employee records. This includes input of information into the Oracle PeopleSoft system. Become a Subject Matter Expert of the Oracle PeopleSoft system (HCM) to support the organisation. Act as a key liaison between the People and Culture and the Payroll team. Qualifications, skills & experience Completion of a degree in Human Resources or related tertiary qualification with an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. Excellent operational, organisational and HR administration skills with demonstrated time management skills, including the ability to work under pressure, organise workload and manage competing priorities/deadlines; whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy. Problem solving skills to address queries within policy and process and the judgement to appropriately refer complex matters for higher level advice. Strong computer skills with knowledge on HR management systems, experience using PeopleSoft would be an advantage. Strong attention to detail and ability to always maintain confidentiality and discretion.
