Accountant – Business Services & Tax The Firm We are an established boutique firm with a focus on client service and due to t he firm’s growth have a position available to join our friendly team. We have a well-established long term client base and will offer interesting work with a broad and diverse range of clients across a variety of industries. The firm has long term employees, a relaxed supportive culture and has embraced Xero software in all key practice functions. We work as a team to provide exceptional client service and develop long term client relationships. We are conveniently located in a stylish office in one of Brisbane’s popular inner north pockets close to cafes. Your Opportunity An opportunity exists for a permanent part-time Accountant (3-4 days per week) to join our relaxed team. Your duties will include: Mentoring and managing junior staff and managing workflow Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for companies, partnerships, trusts, individuals and superannuation funds Active client engagement Reviewing of work using electronic workpapers Tax planning and apply your taxation technical abilities Hands on tax work including Div.7a, FBT, CGT and s100 compliance Flexible environment including work from home Regular training provided About You Able to satisfy the above role description Minimum 5 years experience in public practice (mandatory) Strong knowledge of XERO, BGL360 and ATO portal SMSF experience essential You are a strong communicator Your Benefits · Ability to work school hours · Close to transport and parking available · 5 Weeks annual leave with ability to buy back more after 9 months of initial service · Overtime not encouraged · No billing budgets? · Work from home after qualifying period · Supportive environment To be considered applicants must live in the Brisbane area and must also complete cover letter confirming availability for permanent part-time work (as this is not a full-time role).
