Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, the Senior Accountant plays a pivotal role in supporting operational leadership and external stakeholders across the Group’s Australian and New Zealand operations. This is a dynamic opportunity for a proactive professional to contribute to financial excellence, drive process improvements, and help shape the future of our finance operations. Key Accountabilities: Lead the consolidation of financial results across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring timely month-end and year-end close processes, accurate journal entries, reconciliations, and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. Support internal and external audits with clear, well-documented evidence and ensure strong financial controls are in place. Champion enhancements to financial systems, controls, and procedures, identifying opportunities for automation and process efficiency. Oversee commercial finance activities, monitor supplier contract obligations, and provide strategic financial guidance to operational leaders. Collaborate with operational teams to improve performance, contribute to finance projects, and support broader strategic initiatives. Perform additional finance-related tasks as required. Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate: CA or CPA qualification (or near completion). Proven experience in month-end and year-end financial processes. Strong technical accounting knowledge, including tax and compliance. Advanced MS Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A proactive, ambitious mindset with a passion for continuous improvement. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and evolving environment.
