Apprentice Mechanical Fitter – Start Your Career in the Mining Industry Are you ready to kickstart your career and get paid while you learn? Join our team as an Apprentice Mechanical Fitter and gain hands-on experience working with industry-leading underground mining equipment, while working toward a nationally accredited Certificate III qualification . About the Role As an apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced tradespeople and be trained in all aspects of mechanical fitting, including: Assisting with the assembly and disassembly of underground mining material handling equipment, including gearboxes, drive lines, winching systems, hydraulic power packs, and other hydraulic-driven machinery. Supporting the maintenance and servicing of both fixed and mobile plant equipment on-site. Completing maintenance schedule reports and documentation for inspected or repaired equipment. Carrying out ancillary tasks , such as minor painting, steam cleaning, and workshop duties. Following tolerance assembly procedures , with proper documentation in job cards where required. Working to complete assigned tasks within designated timeframes . What You’ll Gain A Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering (Fitting) upon successful completion.
